Manually installing drivers for a SpeedTouch USB modem
If you have a SpeedTouch USB / 330 modem and the USB LED is continually flashing red, the drivers may not be installed properly you will need to manually update the drivers for the device.
Instructions:1. Click on 'Start' then 'Settings' and 'Control Panel'
2. If the Control Panel is displayed as below, select 'Switch to Classic View' else go to step 3
3. Double Click on the 'System' icon.
4. Click on the 'Hardware' tab and select 'Device Manager'
5. Right Click on 'SpeedTouch 330' or 'Speedtouch 330 Networking Support', this may be found under 'Other devices' or 'Network adaptors'
6. Select 'Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)' option
7. Put a tick into 'Include this location' and select browse button
8. Expand these folders:
- My Computer
- Local Disk (C:)
- Program Files
- Thomson
9. Highlight the 'SpeedTouch USB' folder and select 'OK'
10. Click on 'Next' and the drivers will then install. Follow the final steps as prompted.
