Manually changing the VPI/VCI values for NZ settings

If you have a SpeedTouch USB / 330 modem and have non-New Zealand specific software installed you may need to change the VPI/VCI settings within your registry before you are able to connect.

New Zealand connections require a VPI of '0' and VCI of '100'.

Instructions:

1. Click on Start a select 'Run'

2. In the Open field type in 'regedit' as below.

3. Click OK to open the Registry Editor

4. Expand the following folders:
    - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    - SOFTWARE
    - Alcatel
    - SpeedTouch USB
    - Phonebook
    - 0001

5. Double click on either the VpiVci_VCI or VpiVci_VPI, which need to show '(100)' and '(0)', respectively, on the right hand side.  This should display the following window.

6. Change the 'Base' to 'Decimal' and correct the 'Value Data' as required

7. Close the registry editor and unplug and re-plug the modem from the USB port
