Port Forwarding on ST500 Series Routers Firmware Release R4.0 / R4.2 Common Bindings (Pinholes)
Important Note: Before creating pinholes in the routers NAPT table, you must statically set the IP address of the PC/Mac you want to direct the pinhole to. Click here to be taken to a Guide for setting a static IP address on your PC/Mac. NAPT Manager Easy pinhole configuration via SpeedTouch NAT Manager Application...... UPnP and Port forwarding Applications using UPnP will automatically instruct the router to open the required NAT ports. Manual creation of static bindings or pinholes is not required. If this does not occur please check UPnP setting on router.
If you are connecting the Speedtouch router to a Firewall/VPN box that requires the public IP address and requires all traffic to be sent to it, then it would be preferential to setup the Speedtouch router with DHCP Spoofing. When the router is setup with DHCP spoofing it will initiate and maintain the connection to the ISP, and then transparently pass the public IP address and all traffic to any device connected to it. To download the DHCP spoofing configuration file click Here to be taken to the Configuration files page. These Configuration files can be loaded during the setup of the
router and can be loaded as part of the install setup wizard or
loaded manually |
