Changing the IP address of a ST510v4 / ST530 Firmware Release R4.2 If you require to setup the SpeedTouch 510v4 Router on to an existing network that requires a specific address range besides that of 10.0.0.1 - 10.0.0.254, you will need to change the IP address of the router and the IP address range which it supports. Instructions on how to change the IP address of the router can be downloaded in word document format by clicking here, otherwise the instructions in HTML follow:These instructions are for the software release 4.2 and is based around achieving a target IP address range of 192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.254, with the router having the IP address of 192.168.1.254. Instructions:1. Setup the router with the standard 10.0.0.138 address. 2. Go to Basic - Connections. Disconnect the service.
3. Go to Advanced - IP Addresses
a. Click new and insert the IP address and mask. An example for 192.168.1.254 is below. b. Click Apply.
4. Go to DHCP - Server Leases a. Delete the entry. (To select an entry - click on the square next to the relevant line).
5. While still in DHCP - Go to Address Pools. a. Click New to create a new entry and enter required details. Example for 192.168.1.254 is given below.
b. Click Apply. c. Delete the old 10.0.0.138 entry by clicking on the square next to the line and clicking delete (as below).
6. Browse to the new IP address (in this case 192.168.1.254). 7. Go to Advanced - IP Addresses 8. Select and delete the 10.0.0.138/8 entry.
9. Go to Basic - Connect. Reconnect the service.
10. Save All.
11. Disconnect and Reconnect the LAN or Restart the PC. |
