Enhancing Broadband

The first step when installing the Speedtouch 330 modem is to install the software and drivers off the CD-ROM. To start the installation just insert the CD into the PC and the Installation process should start automatically.

Instructions:

1. Insert the Jetstream CD

2. The wizard should auto-start with the window below. Click on 'Next'

3. You will now be at step 1 of 7. Click on 'Next'

4. Please ensure that you have all the items listed below and then click 'Next'

5. Read the instructions on how to install the filters on step 3 and then click 'Next'

6. Click 'Next' again to start the installation of the modem software

7. Select a language a click 'OK'

8. The Setup wizard should open listing all of the supported Speedtouch devices. Click on 'Next'.

9. Click on 'Yes' to the licence agreement.

10. Click on 'Next' once the destination folder has been set. The default is
C:\Program Files\Thomson\SpeedTouch USB.

11. Click on 'Next' once the program folder has been set. The default is SpeedTouch USB.

12. The software will now be installed and after a few seconds the finish screen will appear as below. Click on 'Finish'.

13. Plug in the modem to any available USB port on the PC, then plug one end of the the DSL/Phone line cable into the modem and the other either into a jack-point or into the modem side of a micro-filter. Ensure all other telephony devices on the same telephone number are also filtered. Click on 'Next'

14. Click on 'Next'

15. Enter your username and password details as prompted

16. Click 'Next'

17. Click on 'End' to complete the Jetstream Setup.

18. Double click on the 'Jetstream Connection' icon on the desktop.

19. This will open the connection box as below.

20. Enter your username and password as supplied by your ISP and click on connect.

You should now have a Internet connection and be able to surf.
